Meet the Team

Green Life Psychology is a multi-disciplinary team and consists of male and female practitioners with a broad range of personal and professional experience. We value the work with our clients, believe effective therapy happens in a safe and trusting relationship and aim to deliver evidence-based treatment.

Counselling & Psychotherapy

We provide counselling and psychotherapy services to adolescents (13 and up), adults, parents and couples. We greatly value the work we do with our clients, believe effective therapy happens in a safe and trusting relationship and aim to deliver evidence-based treatment. We are highly qualified and trained in a number of therapy models including person centred psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT) and Neurofeedback.

EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) is a gold standard treatment that enables people to process and heal from symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of traumatic or disturbing life experiences. This may include physical or sexual abuse, being in a family violence situation, being in a terrible car accident or even surviving battle or a natural disaster. However, EMDR can also be used to process other experiences such as a painful breakup, infidelity, childhood or workplace bullying or a painful moment of rejection.

Couples Therapy

We provide couples therapy to any couple in distress, regardless of gender, sexuality or culture.  Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is an approach to couple’s therapy based around attachment and emotional bonding. Research studies find that 70-75 percent of couples who participate in EFT move away from distress to recovery and approximately 90 percent show significant improvements. And please do not worry, the therapist does not take sides or judge anyone. Rather the aim is to improve the relationship and communication as a team.

I believe that a different therapy must be constructed for each patient because each has a unique story
